Is the Hilton Aspire Card Worth It in 2026?
The Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card costs $550 a year and comes with Hilton Diamond status, an annual Free Night Reward, a resort credit, a flight credit, and big points multipliers. Hilton points are worth much less each than airline or bank points, so the multipliers look bigger than they are. Whether the card is worth it depends on your Hilton stays and which credits you’d actually use.

Hilton Aspire break-even for your spend
Enter rough monthly amounts. Hilton points are valued at about half a cent each, so a high multiplier is closer to a few cents back per dollar.

We estimate Aspire value from Hilton stays at 14×, flights, car rentals, and U.S. restaurants at 7×, and everything else at 3×, at 0.5¢ per point. Only credits you mark as ones you’ll actually use are added. The free night and flight credit start on because most cardholders use them; the resort credit, CLEAR+, and Diamond status start off. Year 1 may include a welcome bonus when modeled; ongoing (year 2+) drops it and keeps the $550 fee. Educational only—confirm terms with American Express.
When it’s usually worth it
You stay at Hilton properties several times a year and value Diamond perks.
You’d take at least one resort trip a year where the resort credit applies.
You’d use the annual free night at a property you’d otherwise pay for.
The flight credit fits airfare you already buy.
When it isn’t
You rarely stay at Hilton, or you mostly pick the cheapest hotel on each trip.
You’d be happy with Gold status and a smaller fee—see Hilton Surpass vs Aspire.
You’d rather earn points that transfer to several hotels and airlines.
Most of your spend is groceries or everyday purchases.
Tips
Discount the multipliers. 14× Hilton points at 0.5¢ is about 7¢ per dollar, not 14¢. Compare cards on value, not on the headline number.
The resort credit is narrow. It works only at participating Hilton Resorts. Check the list before you count it.
Use the free night on a pricey stay. The certificate is worth the most at hotels that would cost a lot in cash or points.
Amex points can transfer to Hilton. If you already hold a Membership Rewards card, see active transfer bonuses before you decide.
