Wyndham Rewards is running a points sale through October 21, 2026, with a bonus of up to 90%. The sale started September 9. At the top tier the price is about 0.68¢ per point. Members who are not targeted for 90% generally see 80% (about 0.72¢) or 70% (about 0.76¢).

The base price is about 1.3¢ a point, so the sale cuts the cost by roughly half. Whether that matters depends on a change that landed in the middle of the sale.

Before you buy points: Run your spending through the credit card rewards calculator. A buy-points sale does not fix a wallet that should be earning a transferable currency. Capital One, Citi and Bilt points also transfer to Wyndham, so check a transfer first.

The award chart changed on September 15

Wyndham added a 5,000-point tier and a 45,000-point tier on September 15. We covered what changed, and who it hurts, in Wyndham’s new award chart. The short version is a win at the 5,000-point bottom end and a devaluation higher up. That makes the points price of the exact room you want the first number to check.

At 0.68¢ a point, a 15,000-point night costs about $102 in points, and a 30,000-point night about $204. If cash for that room is above those numbers, the sale wins. Wyndham properties vary widely, so compare the exact hotel.

Our verdict

Wyndham points are a good use of a sale because the base price is high. At 0.68¢ they cost about half what Wyndham charges the rest of the year. Buy only the points a priced booking needs, buy at 16,000 or more if you can use them so you reach the 90% tier, and skip it if a transfer from Capital One, Citi or Bilt gets you there instead.
