Is the Bilt Palladium Card Worth It in 2026?

Check it with your numbers

The Bilt Palladium card costs $495 a year. It earns a flat 2× on most spending, more through Bilt Travel, and it comes with a $400 hotel credit and $200 of Bilt Cash. Bilt points transfer to airline and hotel partners, so each one can be worth about 2¢. Whether the fee pays for itself depends on how much you spend and whether you’d really book hotels through Bilt Travel.

How we estimate

We estimate Palladium value from hotels at 4×, flights at 3×, and dining and everything else at 2×, at 2¢ per point. Only credits you mark as ones you’ll actually use are added. Bilt Cash starts on at half its face value; the $400 hotel credit and Priority Pass start off because they depend on how you travel. Year 1 may include a welcome bonus when modeled; ongoing (year 2+) drops it and keeps the $495 fee. Educational only—confirm terms with Bilt.

When it’s usually worth it

  • You put a lot of everyday spend on one card and can’t easily beat a flat 2×.

  • You’d book at least two hotel nights a half-year through Bilt Travel anyway, so the $400 credit pays out.

  • You transfer points to airline or hotel partners and value them near 2¢.

  • You’d use Bilt Cash and lounge access instead of letting them lapse.

When it isn’t

  • You spend a modest amount on the card, so a 2× earn doesn’t cover a $495 fee.

  • You don’t want to book hotels through Bilt Travel, which leaves the $400 credit unused.

  • You’d be happy with a cheaper transferable-points card. See Bilt Palladium vs Capital One Venture X.

  • You mainly want rent rewards, which a no-fee Bilt card earns too.

Tips

  • Count the hotel credit only if you’d book it. It needs a two-night stay through the Bilt Travel portal in each half of the year. If that’s not how you book, leave it off.

  • Bilt Cash is worth less than it looks. It spends only inside Bilt and expires above $100, so the $200 headline is closer to $100 in practice.

  • Value points by how you’ll redeem them. Near 2¢ needs a transfer to a good partner. See active transfer bonuses before you move points.

  • Check the bigger picture. Read our Bilt Rewards card guide for how the Blue, Obsidian, and Palladium tiers compare.
