How we estimate
- Every rate on this page comes from the card catalog. Capital One Venture Business pays 2× on spending outside the bonus categories listed above, and up to 2× on everyday spending.
- We value this card's points at 1.8000000000000003¢ each. Cash back is valued at 1¢.
- Net is a year of rewards minus the annual fee. Credits count only when you tick the box.
- Welcome bonuses are left out of the tool so the numbers read as an ordinary year.
- Rent is not in the boxes: most landlords charge a fee that cancels out the rewards, and only a few cards earn on rent at all. Add rent in the full calculator, where those rules are modelled.
- Travel-portal bookings are not in the boxes, because portal prices differ from booking direct. The portal rates are in the table above.
- Rates checked with issuers in October 2026. Terms change, so confirm with the issuer before you apply. Educational estimate, not financial advice.

Credits and perks
| Credit | Sticker value | Counted |
|---|---|---|
| Advertising and software merchant statement credit Annual statement credit for purchases at qualifying advertising or software merchants, posted on the account anniversary. Eligibility is decided by merchant category code, so software bought from a general retailer usually does not qualify. Unused credits expire on the anniversary. | $50 | $50 |
Sticker value is the full face amount. Counted is what the calculator credits, which is lower where most people do not use the perk in full.
Where this data came from
Checked capitalone.com 2026-10-05. Earn: unlimited 2X miles on every purchase, everywhere, with no limits or category restrictions; 5X miles on hotels, vacation rentals and rental cars booked through Capital One Business Travel; no foreign transaction fees. Welcome offer is 100,000 bonus miles after spending $10,000 in the first 3 months. This card replaces the retired Capital One Spark Miles for Business: Capital One rebranded Spark Miles to Venture Business and Spark Miles Select to VentureOne Business, announced 2026-04-14. The annual fee is NOT waived in the first year, which is a change from Spark Miles, where it was. Net effect versus the retired card is still favourable: Venture Business adds an annual travel credit and an annual advertising/software statement credit and raises the bonus from 50,000 miles after $4,500 to 100,000 miles after $10,000. Unverified: the exact transfer partner list. The product page only states '15+ partners', so AirlinePartners and HotelPartners are left null rather than copied from the Venture X Business row, although all Capital One miles cards share one program and therefore one partner list. CentPerPoint is null to match the stated convention for these rows; this makes the optimizer fall back to its 1.0-cent default, which materially understates Capital One miles, so it is likely worth revisiting.
FAQ
The Capital One Venture Business charges $95 a year. Earning alone will not cover the fee: this card pays the same rate as its rivals in the categories most people use. It has to be worth it through credits, the welcome bonus, or a transfer partner you would use.
2× on everyday spending, and 2× on spending outside its bonus categories.
It depends on your mix, not the card. Earning alone will not cover the fee: this card pays the same rate as its rivals in the categories most people use. It has to be worth it through credits, the welcome bonus, or a transfer partner you would use. It also carries $50 of credits we can count, but only count them if you would spend that money anyway. Run your own numbers in the calculator above to see where it lands against the rest of the catalog.
The listed welcome offer is 100,000 points, and offers at these cards change often, so confirm the current terms and the spending requirement with the issuer before you apply. At 1.8000000000000003¢ a point that is about $1,800, before you count the annual fee and whether you would clear the spending requirement for it.
Yes. It earns Capital One Miles, which you can transfer to the partners below. Transfers are what make a 1.8000000000000003¢ valuation reachable; using the points for cash back is worth far less.
No. The Capital One Venture Business charges no foreign transaction fee, so spending abroad earns at the same rate as at home, minus what the merchant adds.
