Choice Privileges is selling points at up to 40% off for purchases made between September 7, 2026 and 11:59 p.m. ET on October 22, 2026. This round is a discount on the price. You buy the points you want, at a lower cost. There is no bonus on top.

The best price is about 0.62¢ per point, at 40% off. The discount depends on how many you buy, and the tier you see can differ by account.

Before you buy points: Run your spending through the credit card rewards calculator. A buy-points sale does not fix a wallet that should be earning a transferable currency. Amex Membership Rewards also transfer to Choice Privileges, so compare that route before you pay cash.

The tiers

Points you buy Discount Price per point Against the 0.85¢ value
1,000 to 5,000 None About 1.14¢ About 34% more than the points are worth
6,000 to 9,000 30% About 0.80¢ About 6% under, close to even
10,000 to 13,000 35% About 0.67¢ About 21% under
14,000 or more 40% About 0.62¢ About 27% under

The details

  • Annual limit: up to 180,000 points per calendar year before any bonus, per AwardWallet. One other tracker lists 171,000, so confirm on the purchase page.
  • Posting: within 24 hours.
  • Status: purchased points do not count toward elite status.
  • Who: the offer may not be valid for every member, so the discount on your screen decides.
  • Card: purchases are processed by Points.com. The Choice Privileges Select Mastercard earns 10x on point purchases, so a Choice card can claw back part of the cost.

Is it worth it?

We value a Choice point at 0.85¢, The Points Guy’s October 2026 valuation. At 0.62¢ the 40% tier costs about 27% less than that, and the 35% tier (0.67¢) about 21% less. That is a good price, cheaper than the points usually return. A 15,000-point night bought at the 40% tier costs about $93, against about $128 of typical value.

The catch is the stay, not the price. Choice redemptions are good value on a cheap, specific stay, and bad when you buy points with nothing in mind. A typical value is an average, so check the cash rate for the hotel you want.

Our verdict

A good price. If you have a Choice stay in mind, buying at the 10,000 or 14,000-point tier costs less than the points are typically worth, so it is a reasonable way to fill the gap. Still compare against the cash rate for that exact hotel, and do not stockpile. If your shortfall is under 6,000 points, the price jumps to about 1.14¢ and the sale does not help.

Offers can end early or change. Confirm the bonus, the price, the cap and the tax on your own account before you pay. Checked October 7, 2026. The full list of live sales is on the point sales page, and card transfer bonuses are on the transfer bonuses page.
