Chase Points Boost at 2.5¢: 11 Edit Hotels Worth the Points (October 2026)

Two nights at the InterContinental Malta were $407, about 16,300 points. The October list is 11 Edit hotels, Chase does not publish it, and a Hyatt award still comes first.

Chase Travel is pricing 11 Edit hotels at 2.5¢ per Ultimate Rewards point in October 2026. Chase does not publish the list. A $500 night is 20,000 points. Check your dates, pay a hotel credit in cash if you still have one, and price a Hyatt award first.
Chase Points Boost at 2.5¢: 11 Edit Hotels Worth the Points (October 2026)
On this page

Last updated: October 19, 2026

Two nights at the InterContinental Malta, March 16–18, 2027, were $407 in Chase Travel. At 2.5 cents per Ultimate Rewards point, that stay is about 16,300 points. Divide $407 by 2.5 cents and you get 16,280 points. The gap is rounding.

That is the October 2026 Points Boost. A room, a cash price, and a points price, on 11 hotels in The Edit.

On April 21, 2026, Chase Travel put this rate on a curated set of Edit hotels. Doctor of Credit (update October 17, 2026; the original post is April 21) calls 2.5¢ Chase’s highest-ever Points Boost rate. nextcard (updated October 16, 2026) and Quick Travel Guides (checked October 19, 2026) publish the same October list. Chase’s own guide, How Points Boost Works, does not. That page still says Sapphire Reserve points are worth up to 2x at The Edit and other top-booked hotels and flights, and Sapphire Preferred points are worth up to 1.5x on top-booked hotels and flights.

The 2.5¢ list is not a Chase page. Cardholders built it by comparing the cash price with the points price in Chase Travel.

Before you spend the points: Run your spending through the credit card rewards calculator. A 2.5¢ hotel rate does not change which card should earn the next dollar. This piece is the redemption math for Ultimate Rewards you already hold, sized to a stay you can already price.

The 11 hotels

Doctor of Credit’s October 17 update, nextcard, and Quick Travel Guides agree on these 11. nextcard’s prices are for the consumer Sapphire Reserve. Sign in with the card you will actually use before you trust a points price from a roundup.

Hotel Where
Fairmont Empress Victoria, BC
Half Moon Montego Bay, Jamaica
InterContinental Malta St. Julian’s
L’And Vineyards Montemor-o-Novo, Portugal
Le Royal Monceau – Raffles Paris Paris
Omni Mount Washington Resort Bretton Woods, NH
Raffles Udaipur India
Santa Teresa Hotel Rio de Janeiro – MGallery Rio de Janeiro
Six Senses Con Dao Vietnam
The Inn at English Harbour Antigua
Vermelho Melides Portugal

Three of them also qualify for the Sapphire Reserve’s 2026 $250 Select Hotels credit: InterContinental Malta, Six Senses Con Dao (an IHG hotel), and Omni Mount Washington Resort.

nextcard says L’And Vineyards is bookable only for stays through 2026.

Quick Travel Guides says cardholders are not seeing 2.5x at Le Royal Monceau on Sapphire Reserve for Business this month. The business card can have a different list, and different availability. nextcard’s figures are the consumer card.

Vermelho Melides was on the September list and is on this one. Most names do not carry over. The April list included, among others, Four Seasons Osaka, Grand Hyatt Deer Valley, Ritz-Carlton Portland, and The Surrey. The September list included, among others, Carlton Cannes, Gleneagles, Balmoral, and One&Only Kéa. The list turns over roughly once a month. Chase does not announce the swap.

How to see the rate

Chase Travel does not stamp a booking “2.5x.” Search the dates. Divide the cash price by the points price.

A $500 night at 2.5¢ is 20,000 points. The same $500 night is 25,000 points at 2¢ and 40,000 points at 1.25¢. Quick Travel Guides says cardholders now see boost levels of 1.25, 1.5, 1.6, 1.8, 2, and 2.5¢, and that several Four Seasons (Whistler, Las Vegas, Sydney, and Maui) are showing 1.25¢. The division is the label.

Doctor of Credit, on April 24, 2026, wrote that when the 2.5x rate launched, Chase lowered most 2¢ hotels to 1.65¢ and removed much of the 2¢ boosting on United and American Airlines. 2.5¢ is the top of that ladder. It is not the rate on a random Edit search.

What the points buy

These are reported averages. They move with the date and the room. Check your dates. The points figures are nextcard’s consumer Sapphire Reserve numbers.

Stay Cash Points
InterContinental Malta, average night about $309 about 12,371
InterContinental Malta, March 16–18, 2027 $407 total about 16,300
Omni Mount Washington, average night about $545 about 21,814
Le Royal Monceau, average night about $1,759 about 70,359

Two nights in St. Julian’s

InterContinental Malta is the cheap end of the list, and one of the three Select Hotels credit properties. nextcard’s average is about $309 a night, about 12,371 points. That division is about 2.5¢.

Use the dated quote. Two nights, March 16–18, 2027, $407 total. nextcard calls that about 16,300 points. $407 divided by 2.5¢ is 16,280 points.

One average night, about 12,371 points, is almost a Category 4 Lowest World of Hyatt night. That award is 12,000 points on the May 2026 chart in our Sapphire Reserve Hyatt article. A Sapphire Reserve still transfers to Hyatt at 1:1, so one Malta night and that Hyatt night are nearly the same pile of Ultimate Rewards. Price both rooms. Book the one whose cash rate, divided by the points, is higher.

A night in Bretton Woods

Omni Mount Washington Resort is the New Hampshire stay, and it is also on the Select Hotels credit. nextcard’s average is about $545 a night, about 21,814 points. That is one night, not a trip. The credit needs two prepaid nights, and the second night will not match the average. Divide the total on your dates.

One night at Le Royal Monceau

This is the expensive end. nextcard’s average is about $1,759 a night, about 70,359 points. It is not one of the three Select Hotels credit hotels. Quick Travel Guides says Sapphire Reserve for Business cardholders are not getting 2.5x here this month. Read the business login, not this table, if that is the card you hold.

About 70,359 Ultimate Rewards, moved from a Sapphire Reserve at 1:1, are about 70,359 Hyatt points. A Category 8 award on the same May 2026 chart runs from 35,000 to 75,000 points, and the top price is 75,000. One Raffles night and one top Category 8 Hyatt night are the same kind of pile. Price the Hyatt room before you spend the points in Paris.

Pay the credit in cash

Two credits can touch one of these stays. They are different credits.

The Edit credit on the personal Sapphire Reserve is $250, and it resets twice a year. Our Sapphire Reserve guide lists it as $500 a year, up to $250 per booking. Our business Reserve article says the personal card keeps two $250 credits, on a prepaid Chase Travel stay of at least two nights. These 11 are Edit hotels, so that credit is the one to check on every stay. The same article says an Edit stay includes daily breakfast for two, a $100 property credit, a room upgrade when available, early check-in, late checkout, and Wi-Fi.

The 2026 Select Hotels credit is a separate $250. The Reserve guide describes it as a 2026 credit for select brands booked through Chase Travel, including IHG and Omni, through December 31, 2026. nextcard says three hotels on this list qualify: InterContinental Malta, Six Senses Con Dao, and Omni Mount Washington. nextcard also says the purchase has to be prepaid in 2026. A 2027 stay can count if you book it and pay for it in 2026. The Malta example is a March 2027 stay. It uses this credit only if you pay in 2026.

Both credits are statement credits on the amount charged to the card. The part you pay with points does not earn them.

nextcard says you can split a booking between the card and points. Quick Travel Guides says to treat points versus the credit as a choice on each stay. If your screen splits, charge at least the credit to the card and put the rest on points. If it does not split, pay the stay on the card while a credit is still open.

On the Malta quote, $407 minus a $250 credit is $157. At 2.5¢, $157 is 6,280 points. The points buy the rest of two nights in St. Julian’s. An all-points booking of that $407 stay is 16,280 points. You keep 10,000 points.

On a night near the Omni average of $545, $545 minus $250 is $295, which is 11,800 points at 2.5¢. That arithmetic is on the reported average, not a live quote. You still need a second night, at whatever that night costs, before the credit applies.

If the credits for this half are already used, points are the right tender when the screen shows 2.5¢. That is the best Points Boost rate.

Price a Hyatt award first

A Hyatt award often beats 2.5¢ when the room is available. Price it before you redeem.

Sapphire Reserve and Sapphire Reserve for Business still transfer to World of Hyatt at 1:1. Sapphire Preferred and Ink Business Preferred moved to 4:3 on October 1, 2026. 1,000 Ultimate Rewards become 750 Hyatt points. The ratios are in the Chase Hyatt 4:3 guide. Whether the Reserve fee is worth paying to keep 1:1 is in the last 1:1 Hyatt card.

The check is the cash rate of the Hyatt room divided by the award price. Above 2.5¢, with the award actually bookable, transfer. At 1.65 cents per Hyatt point, The Points Guy’s October 2026 valuation and the value every MaxPoints tool uses, 2.5¢ in Chase Travel is the higher number on paper. A specific award is not that average. The cash rate on the screen is the number that matters.

From a Sapphire Reserve, one Malta night is about 12,371 Ultimate Rewards, and a Category 4 Lowest Hyatt night is 12,000 points, which is 12,000 Ultimate Rewards at 1:1. Price both cash rates.

From a Preferred or an Ink Preferred, that 12,000-point Hyatt night costs 16,000 Chase points at 4:3. That is the figure in the Reserve Hyatt article. Chase’s guide caps Preferred at up to 1.5x on top-booked hotels and flights, so do not assume a Preferred login shows 12,371 points for the Malta night. Divide the points price on that screen.

None of these 11 is a Hyatt hotel. No award chart books Le Royal Monceau, Six Senses Con Dao, or the Inn at English Harbour. That is where 2.5¢ buys a stay a transfer cannot. Grand Hyatt Deer Valley was on the April list. It is not on this one. When a Hyatt hotel is on the Points Boost list, you have two prices for the same building. Use both.

The 2.5¢ price is the Chase Travel total, paid in points. Read the cash total and the points total on that screen. That is where 2.5¢ wins: a luxury hotel with no award chart, and no resort fee left outside the rate the points are buying.

When the points are the right tender

Use points when all three are true:

  1. Your dates show 2.5¢. Cash divided by points is $0.025, or close enough that rounding explains the gap. The card on the screen is the card you will pay with.
  2. Hyatt loses, or Hyatt has no room. You already divided the Hyatt cash rate by the award price.
  3. The credit is handled. Any Edit credit or Select Hotels credit still open this half is either used, or you have put at least that amount on the card. Two nights, prepaid.

Pay cash, at least up to the credit, when a credit is still open and the screen will not let you split.

Leave the points where they are when any of these are true:

  • The screen is 1.25, 1.5, 1.6, 1.8, or 2¢. Those are rates cardholders are seeing. They are not this promo. A $500 night at 1.25¢ costs 40,000 points, twice the 2.5¢ price.
  • You are signed into a Sapphire Preferred. Chase’s published ceiling there is 1.5x, not 2.5x.
  • The card is Sapphire Reserve for Business and the hotel is Le Royal Monceau, or any hotel that login does not show at 2.5¢. The business list can differ from the consumer list.
  • The stay at L’And Vineyards is in 2027. nextcard says that hotel is bookable only through 2026.
  • You would not take the trip without the rate. The list changes without notice. A hotel at 2.5¢ this month can be gone next month.

This is a Chase Travel redemption. It is not a transfer bonus. A bank transfer bonus is a different decision, on a different currency. Live offers are on transfer bonuses.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is Chase Points Boost at 2.5 cents? A: It is a Chase Travel redemption rate of 2.5 cents per Ultimate Rewards point on a curated set of The Edit hotels. Chase Travel launched it on April 21, 2026. Doctor of Credit calls it Chase’s highest-ever Points Boost rate. Chase’s own Points Boost guide still says Sapphire Reserve points are worth up to 2x at The Edit and other top-booked hotels and flights, and Sapphire Preferred up to 1.5x on top-booked hotels and flights. Chase does not publish the 2.5¢ list. Cardholders find it by dividing the cash price by the points price.

Q: Which Edit hotels are 2.5 cents per point in October 2026? A: Doctor of Credit (October 17, 2026), nextcard (October 16), and Quick Travel Guides (checked October 19) agree on 11: Fairmont Empress in Victoria, Half Moon in Montego Bay, InterContinental Malta in St. Julian’s, L’And Vineyards in Montemor-o-Novo, Le Royal Monceau – Raffles Paris, Omni Mount Washington Resort in Bretton Woods, Raffles Udaipur, Santa Teresa Hotel Rio de Janeiro – MGallery, Six Senses Con Dao, The Inn at English Harbour, and Vermelho Melides. The list changes roughly monthly, without notice from Chase. nextcard’s prices are for the consumer Sapphire Reserve. L’And Vineyards is bookable only for stays through 2026. Le Royal Monceau is reported as not 2.5x on Sapphire Reserve for Business this month.

Q: How do I check if a Chase Travel hotel is 2.5 cents per point? A: Chase Travel does not label 2.5x. Search your dates and divide the cash price by the points price. A $500 night is 20,000 points at 2.5¢, 25,000 points at 2¢, and 40,000 points at 1.25¢. Cardholders are also seeing 1.5, 1.6, and 1.8¢. Do the division in the account that will pay for the stay. A Preferred login and a Sapphire Reserve for Business login can show a different rate than the consumer Reserve.

Q: Does the Sapphire Reserve hotel credit work if I pay with points? A: The part paid with points does not earn the credit. The $250 Edit credit (it resets twice a year; the personal Reserve guide lists $500 a year, up to $250 per booking) and the separate 2026 $250 Select Hotels credit are statement credits on prepaid Chase Travel bookings of at least two nights, charged to the card. Three of the 11 also qualify for the Select Hotels credit: InterContinental Malta, Six Senses Con Dao, and Omni Mount Washington. nextcard says you can split the card and points on one booking. Quick Travel Guides says to treat it as a choice per stay. If a credit is still open, pay cash for at least the credit amount. The Select Hotels credit requires the prepaid purchase in 2026. nextcard says a 2027 stay booked and paid in 2026 can count.

Q: Is 2.5 cents better than transferring Ultimate Rewards to Hyatt? A: Price the Hyatt award first. A Hyatt award often beats 2.5¢ when the room is available. Divide the Hyatt cash rate by the award price. Sapphire Reserve still transfers to World of Hyatt at 1:1. Sapphire Preferred and Ink Preferred went to 4:3 on October 1, 2026, so 1,000 Ultimate Rewards become 750 Hyatt points. At the 1.65¢ Hyatt value this site uses, 2.5¢ is higher on paper, and a specific award can clear 2.5¢ anyway. These 11 hotels are not Hyatt hotels. 2.5¢ is the rate that buys them when no award chart does.

Q: Does Sapphire Reserve for Business get the same 2.5x hotels? A: Not necessarily. Quick Travel Guides says cardholders report Le Royal Monceau is not 2.5x on Sapphire Reserve for Business this month, and that the business card can have a different list and different availability. nextcard’s October prices are for the consumer Sapphire Reserve. Search inside the business account. The business card’s bigger Edit credit, four $250 credits from January 1, 2027, is a separate change and does not change the points rate.

The verdict

Find the hotel and the dates. Divide the cash price by the points price. If it is 2.5¢, price a Hyatt award for the same trip before you move anything. If an Edit credit or the Select Hotels credit is still open this half, charge at least $250 to the card on a prepaid two-night stay and keep the points for the rest, when the screen allows the split. If the credits are used and Hyatt does not beat the screen, the points buy the night.

On nextcard’s Malta example, two nights in St. Julian’s in March 2027 were $407. That is about 16,300 points with no credit, or 6,280 points after a $250 credit charged to the card.

Before the next dollar of spending, run it through the credit card rewards calculator.

Checked October 19, 2026. Doctor of Credit’s “(Update) Chase Announces Select Properties With 2.5x PointsBoost Redemption” (update October 17, 2026; original April 21, 2026) is the source for the April 21 launch, for calling 2.5¢ Chase’s highest-ever Points Boost rate, for the October 17 list of 11 hotels, and for the April 24, 2026 note that Chase lowered most 2¢ hotels to 1.65¢ and removed much of the 2¢ United and American Airlines boosting. nextcard’s “Chase Edit 2.5x Points Boost Hotels List (Oct 2026)” (updated October 16, 2026) agrees on the 11 hotels, says its data is for the consumer Sapphire Reserve, says L’And Vineyards is bookable only for stays through 2026, and is the source for the three worked examples above: InterContinental Malta about $309 and about 12,371 points a night, the March 16–18, 2027 stay at $407 total and about 16,300 points, Omni Mount Washington about $545 and about 21,814 points, and Le Royal Monceau about $1,759 and about 70,359 points. nextcard published averages for the other hotels on the list too. Those move with the date and the room, so this article does not repeat them. nextcard also names the three Select Hotels credit properties, says a booking can be split between the card and points, and says a 2027 stay booked and paid in 2026 can count toward that credit. Quick Travel Guides’ “Edit Hotels With 2.5x Points Boost (October 2026)” (checked October 19, 2026) agrees on the 11 hotels, says cardholders report Le Royal Monceau is not 2.5x on Sapphire Reserve for Business this month and that the business card can differ, says to treat points versus the credit as a choice per stay, and reports boost levels of 1.25, 1.5, 1.6, 1.8, 2, and 2.5¢, including 1.25¢ at Four Seasons Whistler, Las Vegas, Sydney, and Maui. Chase’s “How Points Boost Works” still says Sapphire Reserve points are worth up to 2x at The Edit and other top-booked hotels and flights, and Sapphire Preferred up to 1.5x on top-booked hotels and flights. Chase does not publish the 2.5¢ list. The April examples (Four Seasons Osaka, Grand Hyatt Deer Valley, Ritz-Carlton Portland, The Surrey) and the September examples (Carlton Cannes, Gleneagles, Balmoral, One&Only Kéa), plus Vermelho Melides on both September and October, are the rotation those roundups describe. The list turns over roughly monthly, without notice. A $500 night is 20,000 points at 2.5¢ ($500 ÷ $0.025), 25,000 points at 2¢ ($500 ÷ $0.02), and 40,000 points at 1.25¢ ($500 ÷ $0.0125). $407 ÷ $0.025 = 16,280 points. ($407 − $250) ÷ $0.025 = 6,280 points, and 16,280 − 6,280 = 10,000. ($545 − $250) ÷ $0.025 = 11,800 points, on the reported average, not a quote. Hyatt ratios are the October 1, 2026 change in our Chase Hyatt 4:3 guide: Sapphire Reserve and Sapphire Reserve for Business at 1:1, Sapphire Preferred and Ink Business Preferred at 4:3. Category prices are the May 2026 chart in our Sapphire Reserve Hyatt article: Category 4 Lowest 12,000, Category 7 from 25,000 to 55,000, Category 8 from 35,000 to 75,000. A Category 4 Lowest night at 4:3 is 16,000 Chase points, the figure in that article. 1.65¢ per Hyatt point is The Points Guy’s October 2026 valuation, the value every MaxPoints tool uses. The Edit credit ($500 a year, up to $250 a booking, prepaid, two-night minimum, two credits on the personal Reserve) and the Edit stay perks are our Sapphire Reserve guide and our Sapphire Reserve for Business article. The Select Hotels credit’s brand examples and December 31, 2026 end are our Sapphire Reserve guide. Reported averages vary by date and room. The Chase Travel screen controls the rate.
